I currently use a Canon D30 for my digital shots. This is a fun camera for me. I have three lenses for it. A 28-80mm f3.5-f5.6. An 80mm f1.8. I also have a 75-300mm IS lens. The IS stands for Image Stabilizing. As the camera shakes the camera lens compensates for it and steadies the picture. Definitely a blast to use. Occasionally I’ll use a polarizing filter to clean up a shot. I also use a Canon Elan II for my film camera. (The Rebel G went to my wife.)
A lot of digital editors use Adobe Photoshop. I like the program but I started out using Corel Photo-Paint and I am just more comfortable with it. Most pictures I take are adjusted for brightness and contrast and once in a while I’ll tweak the color balance.

In photography, there is a rule called the rule of thirds that basically guides you to not place your subject in the dead center of the picture. For every rule there is an exception. Desktop photography is it if there ever was one. Where do most people put their icons? Around the edges and as such you want your focal point right smack dab in the middle. Who says photography isn’t fun?
